DHAKA, July 28, 2026 (BSS)- The "Prime Minister's Gold Cup National Football 
Competition 2026" is set to commence from August 9.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will officially inaugurate the competition on 
that day at the Chittagong District Stadium, said a press release here today 
from the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE).

To ensure the smooth and proper conduct of the competition, educational 
institutions are required to form football teams in accordance with the 
prescribed guidelines of the DSHE, the release said. 

Teams must submit completed registration forms along with all necessary 
documents and a forwarding letter from the institution's principal or head 
teacher to the concerned Upazila or Thana Secondary Education Officer by 
August 7, it added. 

Regarding the step-by-step processing of the competition forms and documents, 
it was mentioned that all documents of the winning team at the Upazila level 
must be sent to the District level, documents of the District-level winners 
to the Regional level, and all documents of the Regional-level winners to the 
National level.

All information, including the competition guidelines, schedule, and 
registration forms, has been published on the official website of the 
Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (www.dshe.gov.bd).
