DHAKA, July 28, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecast light to
moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind over different parts of the
country during the next 24 hours, beginning at 9 am.
According to a Met Office bulletin issued this morning, light to moderate rain or
thundershowers with temporary gusty wind are likely at many places over Dhaka, Mymensingh,
Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi and Rangpur
divisions.
The bulletin also said moderately heavy to heavy rainfall may occur at places across the
country.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.
The country's highest temperature on Monday was recorded at 36 degrees Celsius in Sylhet, while
today's minimum temperature was 24.7 degrees Celsius in Narayanganj.
During the last 24 hours till 6 am today, the highest rainfall of 150 millimetres was recorded
in Hatiya.
In Dhaka, the sun will set at 6:44 pm today and rise at 5:26 am tomorrow.
