RAJSHAHI, July 25, 2026 (BSS) - A special seminar was held at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) on how an industrial organization can ensure the highest quality by preventing waste, improving processes, and building a culture of Continuous Improvement.
 
The session was held today in the Industrial and Production Engineering (IPE) Seminar Room of the RUET Administrative Building. The session was organized by the RUET IPE Club.
 
The keynote speaker at the seminar was Dr. Engr. Moniruddoza Ashir, Continuous Improvement and Digital Transformation Leader at Ontex Hygieneartikel Deutschland GmbH, Germany.
 
He discussed in detail various aspects of the core philosophy of Lean Management, waste reduction, increasing process efficiency, value addition, and building a culture of continuous improvement.
 
In addition, he shed light on his various experiences of practical application of Lean Management in the international manufacturing industry, continuous improvement initiatives, and Digital Transformation.
 
A lively question-and-answer session was held at the end of the session, where students raised various questions related to Lean Implementation, Manufacturing Excellence, Digital Transformation, and career development in the industrial sector.

The keynote speaker answered these questions in the light of practical experience and provided important guidance for the participants.
 
Teachers and students of the organizing department said that the session was very timely and fruitful for students interested in Manufacturing, Operations, Quality Control, or Industrial Revolution 4.0 (Industry 4.0).

Participants expressed hope that this discussion will show students a new path in building a career in real industry beyond the boundaries of textbooks.
 
The event was completed very successfully and fruitfully. 

Participants described the session as informative, practical, and an important opportunity to get acquainted with contemporary industrial management practices.

It is expected that such events will play an important role in developing students' professional skills, strengthening industry-academia linkages, and gaining practical knowledge about global industrial practices.
 
Also present at the event were Professor Dr. Md. Asaduzzaman, Head of the Department of IPE at RUET, and Assistant Professor of the same department and Moderator of RUET IPE Club Md. Ariful Haque, along with other teachers of the IPE department.
