DHAKA, July 25, 2026 (BSS) - Six more children have died from suspected measles across the country in the last 24 hours, according to a press release issued today by the Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The press release said the number of suspected measles cases recorded in the last 24 hours stood at 613, while the total number of suspected cases reported from March 15 to July 25 reached 122,763.
It said 78 confirmed measles cases were recorded during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed cases from March 15-July 25 to 15,272.
From March 15 to July 25, a total of 105,298 suspected measles patients were admitted to hospitals. During the same period, 101,535 patients recovered and were discharged from hospitals.
The release said all six people who died from suspected measles in the last 24 hours died at different hospitals in Dhaka district. From March 15 to July 25, a total of 721 children died from suspected measles.
No death from confirmed measles was reported in the last 24 hours. Since March 15, a total of 95 deaths from confirmed measles have been recorded.
