KHULNA, July 24, 2026 (BSS) - Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) today hosted its Alumni Reunion 2026, bringing together around 600 
former students from different batches at the university auditorium.

The reunion, held in a festive atmosphere, aimed to strengthen ties between the university and its alumni and encourage greater alumni participation in 
KUET's future academic and institutional development.

The programme began with the national anthem, followed by recitation from the Holy Quran and special prayers seeking peace for the departed teachers and 
students, as well as continued progress and prosperity for the university.

Speaking at the function, KUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Mashud highlighted various development initiatives undertaken since assuming office, 
including progress in academic and research activities.

He also outlined the university's future development plans and ongoing efforts to enhance KUET's international standing.

"Alumni are one of the greatest strengths of a university. Their knowledge, experience and achievements can significantly contribute to the institution's 
continued growth and advancement," the Vice-Chancellor said.

He expressed hope that stronger networking among former students would further increase their involvement in the university's overall development.

Participating alumni welcomed the initiative, describing the reunion as an important platform for reconnecting with fellow graduates, teachers and the 
university community after a long interval.

They also offered suggestions for the university's future development and pledged continued support to help establish KUET as a globally competitive 
institution in engineering education, research and innovation.

The event concluded with alumni sharing memories, exchanging views and reaffirming their commitment to contributing to the university's future 
progress.
