DHAKA, July 21, 2026 (BSS) - The Traffic Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed 1,386 cases against traffic law violators during drives conducted in different parts of the capital.

According to the DMP media and public relations division, during the drives, police also dumped 394 vehicles and towed away 314 others.

It said the highest number of cases 299 was filed by the Motijheel Traffic Division, followed by Gulshan with 251, Tejgaon 180, Uttara 174, Wari 166, Mirpur 153, Lalbagh 94 and Ramna 69.

The DMP said that drives were conducted across different areas of the capital on Monday (July 20).

It said that traffic division would continue such enforcement drives to maintain traffic discipline in the metropolitan area.
