DHAKA, July 20, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecast rain and thundershowers in different parts of the country for the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am.
"Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Khulna division," said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.
The bulletin also said moderately heavy to heavy rainfall may occur at places across the country.
Day and night temperatures may fall slightly over the country.
In the last 24 hours till 6 am today, Dimla recorded the highest rainfall of 101 millimetres.
The highest temperature on Sunday was recorded at 34.2 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi division, while today's lowest temperature was 22 degrees Celsius in Sylhet.
The sun will set at 6:47 pm today and rise at 5:23 am tomorrow in Dhaka.
