Chattogram Job Fair 2026’ at CU to be held on Monday

CHITTAGONG UNIVERSITY, July 18, 2026 (BSS) - Chattogram Job Fair 2026, jointly organized by the Chittagong University Central Students' Union (CUCSU) and Excellence Bangladesh, will be held on Monday (July 20) at the Buddijibi Chattar and the Central Shaheed Minar premises of the Chittagong University (CU).

The announcement was made at a press conference held on the CUCSU building today, by General Secretary (GS) Sayed Bin Habib and Executive Member Sohanur Rahman Sohan.

In a written statement, they said the fair will run from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm and will serve not only as a job fair but also as an effective bridge between students and the industrial and corporate sectors, playing a significant role in shaping participants' future careers.

They said this year's event will feature some of the country's leading corporate organizations, including PRAN-RFL Group, IFAD Group, Meghna Group, as well as City Bank, Islami Bank, Pubali Bank and several other companies from the service sector.

The CUCSU leaders said participating students will have access to CV collection, on-the-spot CV screening, spot interviews, career counselling, corporate networking and direct interaction with recruiters.

They will also be able to explore and apply for full-time, part-time and internship opportunities.

According to the organizers, more than 8,000 students, job seekers and young professionals are expected to attend the day-long event. Besides CU students, participants from various public and private universities and other educational institutions across the Chattogram region will also join the fair.

Alongside the job fair, the Career Summit 2026 will be held on the same day at the Faculty of Business Administration Auditorium from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. The summit will feature leading corporate executives, human resource professionals, entrepreneurs, and career mentors, who will conduct sessions on career planning, leadership, skill development, job preparation, and future workplace opportunities.

Under the summit's participation policy, five fourth-year and master's students from each academic department of the university will be selected through a prescribed process to attend the exclusive career summit.

The organizers said that, in coordination with the university administration, comprehensive arrangements have been made to ensure security, volunteer support, directional assistance and overall event management in anticipation of a large turnout. 

The job fair will remain open from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Also present at the press conference were CUCSU Career Development Secretary Mehedi Hasan Sohan, Convener Sohanur Rahman Sohan, Co-convener Adnan Sharif, Corporate Affairs Team Lead (Team Secretary of Excellence Bangladesh) Sanu Akter Nodi, along with other organizers.
