DHAKA, July 13, 2026 (BSS) -The Madrasah Education Board has directed all the madrasah educational institutions of the country to organize commemorative meetings and special prayers on July 16 to observe July Martyrs' Day-26.

The directive was issued in a notification released by the board today.

According to the notification, the order was issued following a decision taken by the Technical and Madrasah Education Division of the Education Ministry on July 12. The decision was taken based on the outcomes of an inter-ministerial meeting held in connection with the observance of July Martyrs' Day-26.

Under the directive, all board-affiliated madrasahs at the Dakhil, Alim, Fazil and Kamil levels are required to hold a special commemorative meeting at their convenient time on July 16 in remembrance of the July martyrs. 

The institutions have also been instructed to arrange special prayers and munajat seeking forgiveness and eternal peace for the souls of the martyrs.
