DHAKA, July 12, 2026 (BSS) - Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of former speaker, former education minister, Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) National Standing Committee Member, eminent lawyer and veteran politician Barrister Jamiruddin Sircar.

In a condolence message, the minister said Barrister Jamiruddin Sircar was a distinguished lawyer, an accomplished parliamentarian and a prominent figure in democratic politics.

“He fought throughout his life for the establishment of democracy, human rights and the rule of law,” noted the minister, saying, “His long political career was a unique example of principles, ideals, integrity and patriotism.”

Asadul Habib Dulu also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
