KU hosts Japanese language NAT-TEST for first time

KHULNA, July 11, 2026 (BSS) – Khulna University (KU) on today hosted an  internationally recognized Japanese Language NAT-TEST for the first time, marking a significant step in expanding opportunities for Japanese language education, higher studies, and employment in Japan in .

The examination was conducted smoothly under the overall supervision of the university's Office of International Affairs in a disciplined environment.

The examinees included Japanese language learners, students aspiring to pursue higher education, and job seekers interested in employment opportunities in Japan from Khulna and other districts of the southwest.

KU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Rezaul Karim visited the examination centre and expressed satisfaction over the peaceful and well-organized conduct of the test.

He said the introduction of the NAT-TEST at Khulna University would broaden opportunities for Japanese language education, international higher studies, skilled human resource development, and employment in Japan.

He also expressed hope that the initiative would further strengthen the university's internationalization efforts.
The NAT-TEST is an internationally recognized examination that assesses Japanese language proficiency. 
With the growing demand for skilled manpower in Japan, an increasing number of Bangladeshi students, trainees, and job seekers are showing interest in pursuing higher education and employment there.

The university has become the first official NAT-TEST centre outside Dhaka, creating a new milestone in expanding access to the examination.

The new test centre will enable students, job seekers, overseas job aspirants, and those interested in studying or working in Japan from the southern and other regions of the country to take the internationally recognized examination closer to home.#
