DHAKA, July 11, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecast rain in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am.
"Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind are likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions," said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.
It also said moderately heavy to very heavy rainfall may occur at places across the country.
In the last 24 hours till 6am today, Chuadanga recorded the highest rainfall of 147 millimetres.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The highest temperature on Friday was recorded at 34 degrees Celsius in Rangpur, while today's lowest temperature was recorded at 24 degrees Celsius in Kumarkhali under Khulna division.
The sun sets at 6:49pm today and rises at 5:19am tomorrow in Dhaka.
