DHAKA, July 6, 2026 (BSS) - The Directorate of Madrasah Education has issued a directive making daily assemblies (PT) and sports activities compulsory for students in all madrasahs across the country.

The directive was issued to educational institutions with the aim of building a healthy and vibrant young generation and a prosperous Bangladesh driven by the energy of its youth, according to a press release issued here today.

The release said the government is committed to expanding sports activities at the grassroots level and in educational institutions across the country.

To achieve this goal, assistant teachers of physical education at all madrasahs under the Directorate of Madrasah Education will organise daily assemblies (PT) and sports activities at their respective institutions and ensure the active participation of students.

In madrasahs where the post of Assistant Teacher (Physical Education) is vacant, the responsibility will be assigned temporarily to a serving teacher with proficiency in sports until the post is filled.
