MYMENSINGH, July 3, 2026 (BSS) - BNP Joint Secretary General Syed Emran Saleh Prince today called upon party leaders and activists to remember and adopt the unpretentious and humane approach of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman as his compassionate politics and action plans for public welfare have set a unique precedent in post-uprising Bangladesh.
“Traique Rahman's unassuming and compassionate politics and action plans for public welfare have set a unique precedent in post-uprising Bangladesh,” he said while addressing as the chief guest a views-exchange meeting with leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliated organizations from Dhurail Union in Haluaghat Upazila of the district this afternoon.
The views-exchange meeting focused on the contemporary political situation, strengthening grassroots organizations, union development, maintaining social peace and order, and building a society free from drugs and terrorism.
Prince said BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has emerged as the architect of a humane, just, and welfare-oriented state. “The Prime Minister is tirelessly working day and night to fulfill people’s’ expectations. In this journey of change, leaders and activists must work in unison and actively participate,” he added.
The BNP leader further said that the continuity of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman's political philosophy and ideology is reflected in Tarique Rahman’s leadership.
He called for building a social movement against violence against women and children, drugs, gambling, extortion, terrorism, land grabbing, corruption, and all forms of anti-social activities. BNP leaders and activists in every ward must play a vanguard role in protecting social peace, security, and moral values, he added.
