JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, June 26, 2026 (BSS) - Jahangirnagar University (JU) 
will hold its 43rd annual Senate session tomorrow (Saturday) at the 
university's Jannatul Ferdous Senate Hall.

The session is scheduled to begin at 3:00 pm with Vice-Chancellor (VC) 
Professor Dr. Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan delivering the presidential address.

Confirming the matter to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) this afternoon, 
Treasurer Prof Dr M Abdur Rab said, "A proposed budget of Tk 348.70 crore for 
the 2026-27 fiscal year will be placed before the Senate."

The proposed budget is expected to be discussed by the Senate members before 
its approval.

The JU Senate is the university's highest statutory body responsible for 
approving the annual budget, framing policies, and overseeing academic and 
administrative affairs under the Jahangirnagar University Act, 1973.

The university held its previous Senate session on June 28, 2025.
