DHAKA, June 23, 2026 (BSS) - The Dhaka Education Board has issued an urgent directive to ensure that written answer scripts of the upcoming Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations are submitted to the board under complete security.
According to an order signed today by the Board's Controller of Examinations, Professor Jesmin Taslima Banu, all officers-in-charge of examination centres under the board have been instructed to comply with the directive.
The directive said that after each day's examination, the written answer scripts must be sent on the same day to the Office of the Controller of Examinations by the officer-in-charge of the centre personally or through an authorised teacher, under police escort and in secure custody.
If that is not possible, the scripts must be dispatched on the same day through railway parcel service, mentioning the time of dispatch.
It said that if submission through either of these two methods is not possible due to special circumstances, the sacks, packets or boxes containing the written answer scripts must be sealed after each day's examination, with the time duly noted, and kept in the custody of the local treasury or police station's storeroom.
Subsequently, when the scripts are taken out from the police station or treasury, the seals must remain intact and the answer scripts must be submitted by hand to the Office of the Controller of Examinations in five designated installments, along with the relevant certificates and under police escort.
Under no circumstances may the answer scripts be sent through any other means or handled negligently.
According to the board's directive, answer scripts of the HSC examinations, scheduled to begin on July 2, will have to be submitted to the board in a total of five installments.
The first installment of answer scripts must reach the Office of the Controller of Examinations by July 9, the second by July 17, the third by July 24, the fourth by July 31, and the fifth and final installment by August 9.
