RAJSHAHI, June 13, 2026 (BSS) - Land Minister Mizanur Rahman Minu, formally inaugurated three projects at the hall of Jibontori Technical Training Academy this afternoon.
Speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the National Human Resource Development Fund (NHRDF) project in Rajshahi, the Minister said: "If women acquire skills through technical training, no woman will be left behind, and no one will suffer from shortage of money. Get yourselves trained. The government stands beside you, and various banks will assist you."
With the aim of increasing women's skills and making them economically self-reliant, the three projects were formally inaugurated.
The event was chaired by the institution's Chairman Maruf Hossain. Others present included Touhidur Rahman (former secretary), Director and CEO of the National Human Resource Development Fund (NHRDF), Abdul Hakim, retired Additional Secretary; Bhaskar Halder, Assistant Programmer of NHRDF, Khadiza Khatun, Principal of Jibontori Technical Training Academy, along with local leaders of the metropolitan BNP and other distinguished local figures.
Mizanur Rahman Minu said, "In today's competitive world, there is no alternative to building a skilled human resources . If women can be engaged in economic activities through skill development, families, society, and the national economy will become stronger."
Minu in his speech said "From today onward, women will no longer lag behind, they will no longer be helpless. Do you all agree?" The trainees responded to the minister's words with enthusiasm.
Later, speaking on the occasion, as special guest, Touhidur Rahman said, "Today's training program will play an important role in making women self-reliant. By acquiring skills, women will be able to become entrepreneurs, create employment opportunities, and contribute to the country's economic progress."
Later, speaking to journalists, Executive Director of Jibontori Technical Training Academy, Maruf Hosan, said, "We want every woman to become economically self-sufficient by acquiring skills. This project is not just training; it will open doors to new possibilities for women. Trained women will be able to establish themselves as entrepreneurs or secure employment through jobs."
He further informed that after the three-month training, trainees will be prepared with the goal of establishing themselves as entrepreneurs or getting involved in employment. In addition, priority will be given to poor, ethnic minorities, disabled, and disadvantaged women.
It is mentionable that the overall supervision of this project, implemented with the cooperation of the Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance, is being carried out by the NHRDF.
