DHAKA, June 13, 2026 (BSS) - State Minister for Information and Broadcasting
Yasser Khan Choudhury today said positive changes in people's social values
and behavior are crucial for optimistic social changes.
"The Information and Broadcasting Ministry will work not only on human
behavior but also on fostering compassion towards animals and birds. It is
essential to teach basic civic responsibilities from an early stage,
including maintaining road discipline and keeping streets clean," he said.
The state minister made the remarks while speaking as a special guest at the
inaugural ceremony of "Insight for Change Foundation" (ICF) at the National
Press Club yesterday.
He said initiatives will be taken under the Ministry of Information and
Broadcasting to produce short video content (reels) to raise public
awareness.
"Issues such as respect for women, respect for elders, and maintaining ethics
in the use of social media will be given special priority in these
initiatives," Yasser Khan Choudhury added.
Barrister Naufel Zamir, founder and chairman of Insight for Change Foundation
(ICF), chaired the event.
Member of Parliament (MP) for Panchagarh-1 constituency Barrister Nausha
Zamir and Director of the National Library Afshana Begum attended the event
as special guests among others.
