DHAKA, May 23, 2026 (BSS) – Professor Dr. Abdullah-Al-Mamun of the Department of Japanese Studies at Dhaka University has been appointed as a full-time member of the Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC) for a four-year term.

A notification issued by Secondary and Higher Education Division under the Ministry of Education confirmed the appointment today.

The appointment was made under Section 2(B) of the Bangladesh University Grants Commission Order, 1973, said the notification.

The appointment will come into effect from the date of his joining.
