DHAKA, May 12, 2026 (BSS) - Fisheries, Livestock and Agriculture Minister Mohammed Aminur Rashid today said transparency, accountability and effective monitoring must be ensured for the successful implementation of government’s programmes.

 He also instructed relevant officials to work with responsibility and sincerity.

The minister made the remarks during a discussion held this morning in the conference room of his ministry.

Joint secretaries and higher-ranking officials of the ministry, along with various project directors, regarding the implementation of the government's 180-day programme participated in the meeting.

The minister said the government's 180-day programme is a highly pro-people and important initiative. “This programme has been adopted to implement the development plan announced by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and the government's party commitments. The main objective of this initiative is to bring about positive change in people's lives,” he added. 

The minister said the general public must be informed about government development activities in a simple manner.

He further said, "I want to foster such a transparent and accountable environment where we can say with confidence that government activities are being implemented properly and the people are receiving their benefits."
