CHATTOGRAM, May 11, 2026 (BSS)- Speakers at a training workshop here emphasized on climate-resilient sanitation infrastructure to build a safe and sustainable sanitation system in the country.
Civil Engineering Department of CUET in collaboration with the International Training Network of BUET arranged the two-day workshop on "Sanitation for Urban Low-Income Communities" at the seminar room of the Civil Engineering Department of CUET.
Addressing the closing ceremony of the workshop today CUET Vice Chancellor Professor Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan emphasized the need for a sustainable sanitation system.
He highlighted the need for research, technological innovation, and practical field experience to create a safe and sustainable sanitation system.
Professor Dr. Asiful Haque, Dean of the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Strategy presided over the function moderated by Research Associate Farzana Khan.
The training program included a total of seven technical sessions and was attended by 30 trainees from 20 batches of the Department of Civil Engineering.
Certificates were distributed to the participants at the conclusion of the training.
