According to the revised policy, teachers will be eligible to apply for transfer after completing two years of service from the date of their initial appointment.
To ensure transparency, the entire process will be conducted online through dedicated software.
The Secondary and Higher Education Division of the Education Ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard today.
The policy has been titled "Transfer Policy for MPO-Listed Teachers Working in Private Educational Institutions (Schools and Colleges)-2026 (Revised)".
The policy shall come into effect from the date of its issuance as stated in the notification.
The policy applies to all MPO-listed teachers, including heads of institutions, assistant heads, demonstrators, and trade instructors.
Under the guidelines, a teacher must serve at least two years in the same institution after initial appointment before applying for transfer.
