RAJSHAHI, May 5, 2026 (BSS) - Classes for the first-year undergraduate and undergraduate (Honors) programs for the 2025-26 academic year at the University of Rajshahi (RU) will start on May 10.

The information was confirmed in a notice signed by the university’s Acting Registrar, Professor Dr. Iftikharul Alam Masud, today.
 
According to the notice, per decision no. 3(b) of the Admission Committee meeting held on January 11, the start date for first-year undergraduate (Honors) classes for the 2025-26 academic year has been set for May 10 (Sunday).
 
When asked about this, the university’s Student Advisor, Professor Dr. Amirul Islam, said, “As per the Admission Committee’s decision, classes have been announced to begin on May 10. We hope classes will formally start on the scheduled date.”

Additionally, a public notice has been issued for seats that are still vacant, and the admission process will continue, he added.
