Quantum Foundation accolades voluntary blood donors

DHAKA, April 21, 2026 (BSS)- Quantum Foundation today awarded certificates, crests and medals among more than three hundred voluntary blood donors.

The award giving ceremony was held at the IDEB auditorium located at Kakrail here this afternoon.

Vice-Chancellor of the University of Information Technology and Sciences 
Prof. Dr. Md. Abu Hasan Bhuiyan joined the ceremony as the chief guest with 
Pro-VC of East-West University Dr. Ashiq Mosaddique in the chair.

Director of Quantum Foundation's Voluntary Blood Donation Program M Rezaul Hasan delivered the speech of welcome.

More than 300 voluntary blood donors, who donated blood for at least 3 times, 
10 times and 50 times, were recognized in the ceremony.

According to the Quantum Blood Lab, the organization facilitated more than 17 
lakh people by donating or assisting to have blood of which more than 4 lakh 
people were diagnosed with Thalassemia.

Guests and speakers stressed the necessity and wellbeing of donating blood 
and called on young people to contribute in process of helping others by 
donating blood.  

Nurul Muktadir Bappi, a 50-time blood donor and Wasim Md. Adnanul Haque, who donated blood 26 times, expressed their feelings among the regular blood 
donors.
