DHAKA, April 18, 2026 (BSS) - The government has adjusted the retail prices of fuel oil in the country in line with the rising trend in the global market.
According to the revised rates, diesel has been fixed at Taka 115 per litre, octane at Taka 140, petrol at Taka 135 and kerosene at Taka 130 per litre.
The revised prices will come into effect from April 19, said a press release issued by the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources today.
The release said the adjustment was made to keep domestic fuel prices in line with rising global rates.
Earlier, on March 31, the government had kept fuel prices unchanged for April. At that time, diesel was priced at Taka 100 per litre, kerosene at Taka 112, petrol at Taka 116 and octane at Taka 120 per litre.
