RAJSHAHI, April 17, 2026 (BSS) - Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) Vice-Chancellor Professor S M Abdur Razzaque has stressed the importance of curiosity and active participation in competitions to develop innovation skills among students.

Speaking as chief guest at the prize-giving ceremony of the 'AI for BD Tech Carnival 2026,' he urged students to engage in extracurricular activities alongside their studies and to cultivate the habit of asking questions.

Quoting Nelson Mandela, he said, "We never lose; either we win, or we learn."

The robotics-focused carnival was held at RUET's administrative building, where 39 teams from schools and madrasas across Rajshahi district showcased their projects. The event was organized by Artificial Intelligence Bangladesh.

Professor Razzaque encouraged students to prepare themselves for future leadership by building skills and competence. "The Bangladesh of the future will be built by your hands," he said.

Top three teams from the competition will advance to a similar event in Nepal. Certificates were distributed among all participants following the project evaluations.
