DHAKA, April 15, 2026 (BSS) – Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Houssain Kaikobad has urged Hajj team members to provide their services to brighten the government’s image and ensure welfare of the pilgrims during the holy Hajj.
He made the call while addressing a training programme for Hajj team members as the chief guest at the Hajj Office conference room in Ashkona in the capital today.
The minister said various conspiracies are ongoing against the government and stressed the need for all concerned to stay alert.
Addressing the participants, he said they would serve Hajj pilgrims as khadem (attendants), describing the opportunity as a privilege.
He said sincere service to the pilgrims can earn the satisfaction of the Almighty Allah.
He urged the team members to discharge their duties with dedication as true attendant, emphasizing that no task should take precedence over serving the pilgrims.
“Any negligence in serving the guests of the Allah will not be tolerated,” he warned.
He added that those who earn the satisfaction of pilgrims will be considered for future responsibilities, while those failing to provide proper services may be sent back home from Makkah.
The training programme was chaired by Religious Affairs Secretary Munshi Alauddin Al Azad.
Gaibandha-4 MP Mohammad Shamim Qaisar, Dhaka-18 MP SM Jahangir Hossain, Dhaka North City Corporation Administrator Md Shafiqul Islam Khan and Additional Secretary of the Hajj Wing Dr Md Ayatul Islam also spoke, among others.
