JASHORE, April 13, 2026 (BSS) - Emphasizing the importance of shaping students into skilled citizens, Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milon today said obtaining a degree is not enough in today's world; rather, acquiring technological knowledge and technical skills is essential to remain competitive in the international labor market.
He made the remarks as the chief guest at an event titled 'Seminar on Submission of Intent to Apply for Back Accreditation' organized by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST).
The event took place at Professor Mohammad Sharif Hossain Gallery in the National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam Academic Building on the university campus. The program was organized on the occasion of 14 departments of JUST applying for accreditation from the Bangladesh Accreditation Council.
Addressing the students, Dr Milon said, "You must fulfill your responsibility to the nation through your knowledge and research. True patriotism begins with responsibility. Develop yourselves in such a way that you become an asset and can contribute to the country's development, inspired by patriotism."
