DHAKA, April 13, 2026 (BSS)- Prof Dr Yearul Kabir has been appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST).

A press release by the Education Ministry said the information today.

He previously served as a professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Dhaka University.

According the press release, with the approval of the President and Chancellor, Professor Dr. Yearul Kabir has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Jashore University of Science and Technology under Section 10(1) of the Jashore University of Science and Technology Act, 2001.

The tenure of his appointment as Vice-Chancellor will be 4 (four) years from the date of joining. In this position, he will receive a salary and allowances equivalent to his current position.

It further states that he will enjoy other benefits associated with the position according to the rules.

As the chief executive officer of the university, he will reside on the university campus full-time, and the President and Chancellor may cancel this appointment at any time if necessary.
