DHAKA, April 13, 2026 (BSS) - Biman Bangladesh Airlines is set to resume flights on the Dhaka-Sylhet-Manchester route from July 1 following the completion of Hajj operations, aiming to ease travel for expatriates and meet growing passenger demand.

The decision was taken in line with directives from the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism and the government's ongoing efforts to strengthen international connectivity, said a Biman press release today.

Initially, the national flag carrier will operate two weekly flights on Saturdays and Tuesdays, routing from Dhaka to Manchester via Sylhet.

According to the schedule, flights will depart Dhaka at 10:55 am and Sylhet at 12:50 pm, arriving in Manchester at 10:55 pm (local time). The return flight will depart Manchester at 9:00 pm, reaching Sylhet the following day at 11:50 am and Dhaka at 1:30 pm.

The route had been temporarily suspended from March 1 to maintain operational stability and optimise fleet utilisation, officials said.

Biman authorities expect the resumption of the route to facilitate smoother travel for Bangladeshi expatriates in the United Kingdom and strengthen passenger services on a key international sector.

Passengers have been advised to contact Biman sales centres, authorised travel agencies or visit the airline's website for booking and further information.
