RAJSHAHI, April 10, 2026 (BSS)- The recruitment test for the post of Sub-Station Attendant of Northern Electricity Supply Company (NESCO) was held in a fair and orderly environment at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET). 
Out of a total of 8,638 applicants, 4,670 candidates participated in the examination.
 
The one-hour test began at 10am. To ensure security surrounding the examination, the RUET administration, in coordination with NESCO and law enforcement agencies, implemented multi-layered security measures.
 
The chairman of the examination committee, Professor Dr. Md. Nurul Islam, stated that the recruitment test was conducted smoothly and in a disciplined manner alongside strict security arrangements. 

He added that 54.06 percent of the applicants took part in the examination.
 
After the start of the test, RUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. S. M. Abdur Razzak, along with senior officials from PDB and NESCO, visited the designated examination centres.
 
Among those present were Examination Committee Chairman Professor Nurul Islam, Member Secretary Arif Ahmed Chowdhury, Director of Student Welfare Professor Robiul Islam Sarkar, along with PDB Joint Secretary and Member Aminul Haque, NESCO Managing Director Mashiur Rahman, Deputy Secretary Farzana Khanam and Executive Director Abu Hayat Md. Rahmatullah.
