RAJSHAHI, April 8, 2026 (BSS)- Classes for first-year undergraduate (honours) students of the 2025-26 academic session at Rajshahi University (RU) will begin on May 10.
The information was confirmed by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Professor Mohammad Belal Hossain here today.
He said that the admission process is currently ongoing and classes will commence on May 10.
The process of filling in subject preferences for students who passed the RU admission test began on February 22.
So far, the second subject choice lists for Units 'A', 'B', and 'C' have been published. It is expected that the admission process will be completed before the start of classes.
Notably, this year's admission tests began with Unit 'C' (Science). The exams were held on January 16 for Unit 'C' (Science), January 17 for Unit 'A' (Humanities), and January 24 for Unit 'B' (Commerce).
There was no selection test this year, and the exams were conducted in two shifts.
The first shift took place from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, while the second shift was held from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Additionally, the admission tests were conducted at public university campuses located in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Chattogram, Khulna, Rangpur, and Barishal divisions.
