DHAKA, April 7, 2026 (BSS) - The Independence Awards 2026 ceremony has been rescheduled due to unavoidable circumstances, according to an official announcement.

The prestigious event, which was originally set to take place on April 9, at 4:00 pm, will now be held on April 16, 2026 at the same time and venue-the Osmani Memorial auditorium.

Authorities have confirmed that no new invitation cards will be issued for the revised date.

Individuals who have already received invitations for the April 9 ceremony are requested to attend the ceremony on April 16 using their existing invitations.

The Independence Award is the highest state honors, recognizing outstanding contributions to the country in various fields.
