RAJSHAHI, April 7, 2026 (BSS)- Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) has taken up  a new initiative to connect all former students on a single platform. 

On this occasion, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. S. M. Abdur Razzak inaugurated the alumni website  today at 12:30 pm in his office.
 
To join the alumni group, one must register on this website. Any former student can become part of the site alumni.ruet.ac.bd by verifying their Provisional Certificate (PVC). 

Millions of RUET graduates, both in Bangladesh and around the world, are working as entrepreneurs or in various offices.

This initiative by RUET aims to bring them together on one platform. The official alumni website has been created under the supervision of the Career Planning and Alumni Placement Center, with support from the students.
 
Md. Abu Ismail Siddiqui, Assistant Director of the Career Planning and Alumni Placement Center, said that millions of RUET graduates, both in Bangladesh and worldwide, are working as entrepreneurs or in senior positions in various offices.

 This initiative is intended to bring them together on one platform. Through this website, one alumnus can assist other alumni.
 
An alumni member can connect with any other alumni anywhere in the world, post jobs, search for jobs, write and share blog posts, or highlight the need for blood donations for sick patients. 

All information provided by the RUET administration will be accessible to all alumni, and alumni themselves can share information collectively.

 The website will also be highly useful for fundraising during disasters or humanitarian aid and will serve as a promotional tool for organizing various events.
 
RUET administration hopes that former students will not only register themselves on the website but also encourage other alumni to do the same.
 
The inauguration of the alumni website was attended by Director of the Student Welfare Department Professor Dr. Md. Robiul Islam Sarkar, Director of the Research and Extension Department Professor Dr. Abdul Khalek, Director of the ICT Cell Professor Dr. Md. Samiul Habib and Deputy Director of the Student Welfare Department Professor Dr. Md. Abdullah Al Mahmud, among others.
