RANGPUR, April 4, 2026 (BSS) - The present government is working relentlessly to reach the healthcare services at  the peoples' doorsteps across the country. The people will soon get the benefits of this effort.

Additional Secretary of the Health Services Division Md Huzur Ali told local journalists this after visiting various wards and units of Rangpur Medical College Hospital on Saturday.

He said that like some other medical college hospitals, Rangpur Medical College Hospital is not yet fully developed.

If the government's ongoing healthcare development programmes are implemented soon, there will be positive changes in the health services in the Rangpur region.

He said that such inspections will continue to complete the ongoing development work quickly.

He shed light on various issues including syndicates, brokers' circles and employee crisis at Rangpur Medical College Hospital.

At this time, the hospital's Director Brigadier General Md Ashiqur Rahman, Rangpur Medical College Associate Professor Dr Md Zahid Hasan Basunia, Deputy Director of the hospital Dr Md Abdul Mokaddem, Assistant Director Dr Mohammad Mejbahul Hasan Chowdhury, Assistant Director (administration), Dr Kaniz Sabiha and other concerned officials were present.
