DHAKA, April 1, 2026 (BSS)- BNP Secretary General and Minister for Local 
Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today expressed profound grief and sorrow at the death of Tax Advisor and former General Secretary of the Thakurgaon District Association in Dhaka 
Advocate Md. Nazrul Islam.

In a condolence message, he said, "I express my deep condolences to the 
bereaved family members of Advocate Md. Nazrul Islam upon his death. He was 
widely recognized in his area as a wise, honest, and principled lawyer. He 
also left his mark of proficiency as a Tax Advisor."

"During his tenure as the General Secretary of the Thakurgaon District 
Association, Nazrul was dedicated to the development of the association. I 
pray that the Almighty Allah grants him Jannah (Paradise) and grants the 
grieving family members the strength to bear this loss," Mirza Fakhrul added.

The BNP Secretary General prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul 
and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members, relatives, well-
wishers and admirers.

Advocate Md. Nazrul Islam passed away this afternoon at Green Life Hospital 
in the capital.
