DHAKA, April 01, 2026 (BSS) – A ship named ‘PVT Solana’, carrying 27,300 tonnes of refined diesel from Malaysia under the supervision of the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC), anchored at Dolphin Jetty-05 of Chattogram Port in the early hours of today.

According to BPC sources, the consignment was supplied by Petco Trading Labuan Company of Malaysia, said a BPC press release.

The Panama-flagged vessel arrived at the port, and two BPC officials were present at the time. The diesel unloading (pumping) process began at noon.

The release also said that a ship named ‘Yuan Jing He’, carrying 30,000 metric tonnes of diesel, and another ship named ‘Central Star’, carrying 25,000 metric tonnes of octane, will arrive at Chattogram Port from Singapore in the first week of April.

It added that the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources and BPC are playing an active role in maintaining the country’s fuel supply despite the ongoing war situation in the Middle East. BPC ensures the supply of fuel oil by importing refined and crude fuel from state-owned enterprises of various countries through G2G term contracts and international tender processes.
