DHAKA, March 30, 2026 (BSS) – The Directorate of Madrasha Education (DME) has issued special instructions to field-level officials to ensure that this year’s Madrasha Dakhil Examination, beginning on April 21, is conducted in a fair and cheating-free environment.

The instructions were issued in an office order from the administration branch of the department on Sunday.

All centre secretaries and field-level officials have been asked to strictly follow the guidelines to ensure a fair and orderly examination environment.

The directives state that CCTV cameras must be installed at every entrance and in all examination rooms and recorded footage must be properly preserved.

In addition, analog (dial) clocks have been instructed to be installed in every examination room.

Regarding security, the order calls for adequate deployment of law enforcement personnel at each centre in consultation with local authorities. It also states that no one other than the centre secretary will be allowed to use mobile phones inside the examination centres.

The guidelines further emphasise measures to prevent cheating in any form. Candidates will be allowed to enter the centres only after body searches. For female students, searches must be conducted by female teachers.

The order also directs that necessary instructions for parents and students be displayed at the main gates of the centres to maintain discipline during the examinations.

Furthermore, it calls for ensuring adequate lighting, ventilation and cleanliness at all centres.

The department has warned that any negligence or failure to comply with the instructions that leads to an undesirable situation will result in strict legal action against the concerned centre secretary and responsible persons.

It added that the directives were issued following a meeting at the Ministry of Education on March 25.
