KHULNA, March 29, 2026 (BSS) - Newly appointed Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Masud held separate views-exchange meetings with the university's teachers and officers today.
The meeting with teachers took place at the university auditorium at 12:00 noon, followed by a session with officers at 4:00 pm.
The Vice-Chancellor sought cooperation and constructive suggestions from all stakeholders, expressing optimism about continued support in the future.
He stressed the need to accelerate academic activities to make up for losses caused by past disruptions.
Highlighting his connection to the institution as both an alumnus and a current faculty member, Prof. Masud reaffirmed his commitment to the university's overall development. He assured that any issues brought to his attention would be addressed promptly and underscored the importance of fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
The Vice-Chancellor also said efforts would be made to transform KUET into a modern, knowledge-based, and student-friendly institution. Additionally, he called on all concerned to refrain from spreading misleading information on social media.
Teachers and officers present at the meetings congratulated the new Vice-Chancellor and pledged their full cooperation in academic and administrative matters.
Among others, KUET Teachers' Association President Prof. Dr. Md. Shahidul Islam, General Secretary Prof. Dr. Md. Faruk Hossain, Officers' Association President Md. Moinul Haque and Employees' Association President Md. Robiul Islam spoke at the meeting.
