DHAKA, Mar 26, 2026 (BSS) - The Non-Government Teachers' Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) has issued a revised notification to recruit institution heads and assistant heads in private schools and colleges under the Monthly Pay Order (MPO) scheme.
According to the new notification, applications are invited for a total of 12,951 vacant posts under three directorates of the Ministry of Education, through a fully automated system. The appointments will be recommended based on the "8th NTRCA Recruitment Examination 2026."
The notification was issued on Wednesday, canceling the previous notification released on January 29.
Under the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, 9,708 posts are vacant, including 2,881 head teachers, 3,296 assistant head teachers, 375 principals (graduate pass colleges), 413 vice-principals (graduate pass colleges), 408 principals (higher secondary colleges), 153 principals (higher secondary schools), and other posts.
Under the Directorate of Madrasah Education, 3,131 posts are vacant, including 34 principals (Kamil), 53 vice-principals (Kamil), 202 principals (Fazil), 343 vice-principals (Fazil), 219 principals (Alim), and 377 vice-principals (Alim), 899 supers (Dakhil), and 1,004 assistant supers (Dakhil). Under the Directorate of Technical Education, 112 posts, including principals and supers, are available.
Interested and eligible candidates have been asked to apply online through the official NTRCA website. The application period will begin on March 28 and continue until April 4 at 11:59 pm. The examination fee is set at taka 350, payable until April 5 at 11:59 pm.
The recruitment test will be held for 100 marks, including 80 marks for MCQs, 12 marks for educational qualifications, and 8 marks for the viva voce. A 0.25 mark penalty will be applied for each wrong answer. The passing mark for the MCQ exam is 40 percent. The tentative date for the exam is April 18.
NTRCA said the recruitment recommendations will be fully automated using TeleTalk Bangladesh Limited's software, based on merit order from MCQ and viva scores, along with the candidates' preference for institutions.
The notification also mentioned that applicants who had applied previously will receive refunds of fees after deduction of online banking and TeleTalk charges. Any attempt to influence the recruitment process will result in disqualification.
