Control room set up to handle election-related complaints

DHAKA, Feb 11, 2026 (BSS) - The government has set up a control room to coordinate with field-level administration and resolve complaints to ensure the smooth holding of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad election and referendum.

The information was disclosed in an office order issued by the Ministry of Public Administration.

According to the order, the control room will operate from Room No. 1802 of Building No. 1 at the ministry. It has been set up to verify election-related complaints and information received from the field and to take necessary actions accordingly.

A hotline number (+8802226641118) has been launched to facilitate communication with the control room.

The ministry said that officials will perform duties in two shifts daily from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm till February 14. A joint secretary has been assigned each day to serve as coordinator and oversee overall activities.

In each shift, administrative officers and office assistants will work under the supervision of a deputy secretary or senior assistant secretary.

The office order further stated that the officials assigned to the control room will maintain round-the-clock communication with the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Election Commission, and the concerned Returning Officers regarding complaints received from the field level.
