DHAKA, Feb 9, 2026 (BSS)- BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman today urged countrymen today urged the people to take correct decision to build the desired Bangladesh for everyone in the future.

He said, "The upcoming election on February 12 is not merely an election; this election is for building the nation. To materialize the dream people must take correct decisions,” he said.

He added- the right person, the right symbol must be chosen for the development of the country and changing the people's fate.

Tarique Rahman made the remarks while delivering the chief guest's speech at an election rally organized in support of BNP candidate Tanvir Ahmed Robin for the Dhaka-4 constituency at Zuraine Dayaganj Road in the city.

He said, "BNP wants to build a Bangladesh where everyone, regardless of gender can move safely, people can do business in peace, and families can sleep safely at home."

The BNP Chairman said that the people of this area need a hospital, a road for connectivity up to Zia Sarani Khal, a road to go to Matal's graveyard, and most importantly employment opportunities for the people of the area.

He assured that if BNP forms the government, effective steps will be taken to solve these problems.

Tarique Rahman said that during the tenure of former Prime Minister Deshnetri Begum Khaleda Zia, many development works including road and canal projects were implemented in this area.

"If BNP forms the government, the continuity of those development projects will resume again," he said.

The BNP Chairman informed that he has already held discussions with ambassadors of various countries to ensure employment for the country's youth.

"Ambassadors have assured that if BNP forms the government, foreign investors will come to Bangladesh and set up industries."

He further said, "If BNP forms the government, modern training institutes and IT training centers will be established in every district including Dhaka city, so that educated young men and women can be groomed up as skilled human resources and get employment opportunities at home or abroad."

Speaking on healthcare, the BNP Chairman said, "The existing hospitals in a populous city like Dhaka are not sufficient. If BNP forms the government, initiatives will be taken to quickly build a hospital in Zurain."

He further said, not just hospitals, if BNP forms the government, one lakh healthcare workers will be recruited gradually across the country.

"These healthcare workers will go door-to-door to provide primary healthcare services to mothers, sisters, and children. This will, on one hand, ensure people's access to medical services, and on the other hand, create one lakh new employment opportunities."

Tarique Rahman said BNP is the only political party that has realistic programs to solve the country's problems and experience in governing the country.

He said, "After independence, a famine occurred in the country in 1974. Later, after BNP founder Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman took responsibility, famine-stricken Bangladesh was turned into a self-sufficient food-producing and food-exporting country."

He recalled that after Khaleda Zia took office in 1991, massive employment was created in the country, new industries were established, and Bangladesh gained recognition as an 'Emerging Tiger' in the international arena.

"After Khaleda Zia taking office again in 2001, Bangladesh was gradually removed from the corruption list. There is proof of BNP's capability in improving law and order and state governance," he added.

The BNP Chairman alleged that a political party is trying to create fake ballot seals and mislead ordinary people. He urged voters to remain alert against the conspiracies.

Tarique Rahman urged the voters to go to the polling centres early in the morning saying, “You  must go to the polling centers early in the morning and remain vigilant, and must not leave the center until the vote counting is finished."
