RAJSHAHI, Feb 2, 2026 (BSS) - A month-long artificial intelligence (AI) training programme titled 'AI Navigator 2026' was inaugurated on Sunday at Rajshahi University (RU).
The programme is jointly organised by the university's Career Counseling and Development Center (CCDC) and UK-based non-profit organisation Send a Little Hope. The inauguration ceremony was held at the RU Senate Building.
RU Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) Professor Md Farid Uddin Khan attended the event as the chief guest, while Mujahidul Islam, Chief Executive Officer of Send a Little Hope, was present as the special guest.
Professor Md Nurul Momen, Director of the CCDC, presided over the programme.
Addressing the event, Professor Farid Uddin Khan emphasised the growing importance of AI skills in future leadership and thanked Send a Little Hope-UK for supporting the initiative.
Mujahidul Islam presented an overview of the "AI Navigator 2026" programme.
A number of senior teachers, representatives of Send a Little Hope, and students from different departments of RU were present on the occasion.
Earlier, a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the CCDC and Send a Little Hope to implement the programme.
