DHAKA, Jan 28, 2026 (BSS) - Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today inaugurated the Digital Device and Innovation Expo 2026 at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre (BCFCC) in the city.
The Chief Adviser also launched the website and logo of the 'Bangladesh Innovation Challenge'.
The ICT Division, the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority (BHTPA) and the Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) are jointly organising the four-day technology showcase with the theme 'Bangladesh to the World', which will continue till January 31.
At the onset of the function, a documentary was screened on the future digital innovation with the theme 'Create Here, Connect Everywhere'.
Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb spoke at the function as the special guest with Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division Secretary Shish Haider Chowdhury in the chair.
BHTPA Managing Director Md Mamunur Rashid Bhuiyan and BCS President Mohammad Zahirul Islam delivered the welcome address at the function.
Later, the Chief Adviser went round the expo premises.
The expo is being organised with the aim of attracting technological innovation, enhancing capabilities, success and investment in the technology sector. It will feature innovation, digital device, mobile and e-sports, along with product discounts and offers.
The four-day expo will be featured with five seminars and four panel discussions on digital transformation, global investment, startups ecosystem, national equipment identity register, financing and digital devices for students to build an intelligent society, bridging gaps in the innovation ecosystem, deep-tech value chain, manufacturing and export vision and inclusive digital transformation.
Entry will remain open for all with online or on-site registration, and the venue will be fully Wi-Fi enabled using satellite internet technology.
The Expo is a major platform for displaying state-of-the-art technologies and innovative ideas from various industries and universities.
