DHAKA, Jan 25, 2026 (BSS) - BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has said that the country's youth are fully prepared to participate in national policymaking and should be given greater space to contribute to shaping Bangladesh's future.

In a post on his verified Facebook page on Saturday, Tarique Rahman said the youth of Bangladesh are ready to take part in policymaking, stressing the need to create more opportunities for them to provide leadership.

"To build the nation's future, more opportunities and spaces must be created for Bangladeshi youth, where they can find avenues to provide leadership," he wrote.

Referring to an interaction with young people, Tarique Rahman said he took part in a vibrant and inspiring gathering with young content creators and youths at Justice Shahabuddin Park in Dhaka.

"Not from a stage or behind barricades, but under the open sky, I joined a lively discussion with young people. Through our conversations, I understood the kind of new politics the youth truly desire," he said.

He also said he attentively listened to ideas shared by youths from different parts of the country who took part in the 'My Vision for Bangladesh' reel competition.

Their thoughts on education, employment, environmental protection, women's empowerment and the aspiration for a corruption-free Bangladesh were powerful and thought-provoking, he added.

More than 2,200 reels were submitted to the competition. The winners placed various questions before Tarique Rahman, who responded openly to them.
