DHAKA, Jan 16, 2026 (BSS) - The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has directed the officials of the BCS general education cadre who have completed PhD, MPhil or MS degrees within the last year to submit and present summaries of their research to the Ministry of Education.

The instruction was issued through a notification on Thursday by the DSHE, asking the concerned officials to comply with the directive.

According to the order signed by Assistant Director (Training-3) of DSHE Samina Sultana, the research topic, objectives, key findings and practical significance of the higher degree-holding officials must be presented through a maximum of 10 PowerPoint slides.

The main objective of the initiative is to assess how the acquired research knowledge can play a direct role in improving the country's education system.

As per the directive, the concerned officials have been asked to submit the research summary along with a soft copy in Nikosh font by email to the Training Wing of the Directorate at [email protected] by January 18. 

The specific date, time and venue of the presentation will be informed to the officials later.

DSHE officials said the presentations have been arranged to bring the outcomes and practical applications of the higher degrees attained by education cadre officials to the policy-making level.
