RAJSHAHI, Jan 16, 2026 (BSS) - Rajshahi University (RU) organised a day-long interactive workshop on accreditation to enhance the capacity of its academic and non-academic teachers in evaluating and accrediting academic programmes.

The workshop, titled "Preparation for Accreditation: Identifying Challenges and the Ways to Resolve", was organised by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at its conference hall with support from the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC) on Thursday.

BAC Chairman Prof Mesbah Uddin Ahmed attended the programme as chief guest, while RU Pro-Vice Chancellors Prof Mayeen Uddin and Prof Farid Uddin Khan were present as special guests. IQAC Director Prof Abu Reza presided over the session.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Mesbah Uddin said the University Grants Commission has developed a national qualifications framework for higher education, which would guide students about learning outcomes and skills prior to admission. He said the initiative would help ensure international standards in Bangladesh's education system.

IQAC Additional Directors Prof Kamal Uddin and Prof Monimul Haque also addressed the workshop.
