Dhaka, Islamabad hold talks on regional, global issues at OIC meeting

DHAKA, Jan 12, 2026 (BSS) – Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar met Bangladesh’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain on the sidelines of the OIC extraordinary ministerial session to review bilateral relations and regional issues.

The meeting took place during the Extraordinary Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Jeddah, according to Pakistan high commission here today.  

During the meeting, both the leaders expressed satisfaction over the robustness of Pakistan–Bangladesh relations.

They discussed bilateral cooperation across a range of sectors, with particular emphasis on high-level exchanges, trade, and educational collaboration.

They also discussed a range of regional and global issues, said the release.
