DHAKA, Jan 12, 2026 (BSS)-  BNP will organise a civic memorial meeting for former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia’s on Friday next.
  
The meeting will begin at 2:30 PM at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad, said BNP media cell today.

Politicians, eminent personalities and representatives of the interim government will participate in this memorial meeting, which will be held under the banner of a Citizens' Committee initiated by the BNP. 

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia passed away on December 30 last while receiving treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital. 

BNP observed seven-day mourning following her death. A three-day state mourning was also observed by the government, which included a one-day public holiday.
