DHAKA, Jan 11, 2026 (BSS)- The Election Commission (EC) has taken measures to widely distribute banners and leaflets prepared for the upcoming referendum and the 13th National Parliament Election 2026 to be held on February 12.
To create awareness among the public on the occasion of the referendum, 15,000 eco-friendly banners have been printed with the assistance of UNDP.
In addition, 80,042,000 leaflets have been printed on the occasion of the referendum. The distribution of the printed banners and leaflets is ongoing nationwide through the Publication and Documentation Branch of the Election Commission Secretariat.
This information has been revealed in a letter issued in this regard signed by EC Secretariat Director (Public Relations) and Information Officer Md. Ruhul Amin Mallick today.
It said the referendum and the 13th National Parliament elections will be held on February 12, 2026.
In order to create awareness among the people on the referendum, 15,000 environment-friendly banners have been printed with the assistance of UNDP.
The printed banners, as per the division mentioned in the attached list, are being distributed nationwide through the Publication and Documentation Branch of the Election Commission Secretariat at regional and senior district/district levels. Distribution activities are underway,” it added.
The commission has issued instructions for widespread publicity by hanging banners in every Divisional Commissioner's Office, Regional Election Office, Deputy Commissioner's Office, Senior District/District Election Office.
The City Corporation Office and every ward office and important places in Dhaka City, Municipality Office, Upazila Nirbahi Office, Upazila/Thana Election Office also have directed hanging banners as part of widespread campaign.
In addition, 80.42 lakh leaflets have been printed on the occasion of the referendum. Distribution activities are underway through the Procurement and Printing Branch of the Election Commission Secretariat, with 15 thousand per Upazila/Thana Election Office, 3,000 per Senior District/District Election Office and 2,000 thousand per Regional Election Office.
The relevant organizations will distribute these leaflets through the district and upazila/station election officers to the government and private offices of the divisional city/city corporation/district city, important places/offices of the city corporation/municipalities of the district towns
The leaflets will be distributed among visitors to the service recipients, visitors to various markets and places where people gather, and to the government and private offices, offices of the service recipients, visitors to the service recipients, visitors to the union parishad public representatives, union information and service centers, various educational institutions, religious institutions/important places/hospitals/markets and places where people gather.
It is to be noted that the following allocation will be made in favor of the upazila/station election officers for the distribution and promotion of banners and leaflets.
The allocation amount is 1,000 per union, 1,000 per municipality, and 1,000 per ward of the city corporation.
In the letter, the District Election Officer and Upazila or Thana Election Officer have been requested to contact the Procurement and Printing and Publication and Documentation Branch of the Election Commission Secretariat to collect banners and leaflets and take necessary measures for widespread distribution in the places mentioned under their jurisdiction.
